There was a time when Yohkawn Station was the center of the sector, a rising star in the empire, and destined for greatness. Rich in boron, its isotopes powered every fusion drive for a thousand light-years in every direction. A powerhouse of industry, a hotbed of innovation. The opportunity was abundant and a hopeful population flocked to its halls.
But that was long ago.
Now it is a shell of its former glory. A refuge. Home only to the desperate, the delusional, and those with something to hide. Among its tired population is a woman living out her last days, a fruit merchant with a picture, and a mercenary with a name. Each have a secret and each have a mission.
But only one can escape.
Who will see tomorrow?
Inspired by my love of sci-fi and the Die hard movies, I wanted to write a thriller in a gritty, cyberpunk-esque, sci-fi setting.
This will be a standalone book but I am considering unifying my human focused, near future sci-fi universes into a single setting with a ‘consistent’ set of rules and technology. If I do take that route then it would be canon in this new universe.
