There's a secret in Yohkawn's halls.
Once the thriving heart of the sector, Yohkawn Station was a rising star in the Empire, its rare Boron isotopes sparking a new age of innovation. The station's future was bright, and hopefuls from across the galaxy flocked to its docks in search of fortune.
But time has not been kind.
Now, Yohkawn is a forgotten husk, inhabited only by the desperate, the delusional, and those with something to hide. Among them is an old woman living out her last days, an unsuspecting fruit merchant with a picture, and a ruthless mercenary with a name.
Each holds a secret. Each has a mission. And as their paths converge, a darkness - a Shadow rises.
Inspired by my love of sci-fi and the Die hard movies, I wanted to write a thriller in a gritty, cyberpunk-esque, sci-fi setting.
This will be a standalone book but I am considering unifying my human focused, near future sci-fi universes into a single setting with a ‘consistent’ set of rules and technology. If I do take that route then it would be canon in this new universe.
